Overview
The S.T.A.B.L.E. program is an educational program that focuses exclusively on the post-resuscitation/pre-transport stabilization care of prematurely born or sick infants. Based on a mnemonic to optimize learning, retention and recall of information, S.T.A.B.L.E. stands for the six assessment and care modules in the program: Sugar and Safe Care, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, and Emotional Support.

10th Annual Social Work Conference: Managing challenging ethical dilemmas
Overview
Social workers, nurses, allied health professionals and psychiatrists are invited to the 10th annual social work conference sponsored by Children’s Hospital of WI. The 2010 conference – to be held at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin Briggs and Stratton Auditorium – Dr. Frederic Reamer, PhD professor in the graduate program at the School of Social Work at Rhode Island College. Dr Reamer’s presentation will focus on:
- Identifying challenging ethical issues and dilemmas in child welfare, health, and mental health professions
- Describing ethical decision-making frameworks and protocols
- Indentifying ethical issues that pose malpractice and liability risks
- Designing strategies to protect clients and practitioners

Administrative Professionals Conference: Living and Working with Less Stress and More Fun
The annual Administrative Professionals conference is sponsored by Education Services of Children’s Hospital and Health System. All administrative professionals are invited to come to this year’s conference. There will be a special presentation on the Blue Kids Way with Maggie Butterfield and Chris Jensen to start the conference. Jason Kotecki is the keynote speaker. He will present Escaping Adulthood: Living and Working with Less Stress. Jason has a program that will be humorous, inspiring, entertaining and relevant.

Families and providers who care for children and youth with special needs are encouraged to attend this annual conference. It is sponsored by the Southeast Regional Center for Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs located in Children's Hospital of Wisconsin.

Pediatric Sleep Conference
Sleep technicians, respiratory therapists, EEG technicians and students are invited to the First Annual Pediatric Sleep Conference to be held at the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin-Oakwood Center. The Sleep Center at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin is the only pediatric sleep center in the state of Wisconsin to be accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and is dedicated to the care of children of all ages. The conference will feature presentations by a multidisciplinary team of sleep specialists that will focus on topics unique to the sleep health of children. Presentations will feature:
- A review of the unique aspects of pediatric sleep medicine.
- A discussion of the use of melatonin in sleep disorders.
- A review of cardiac, respiratory and neurological abnormalities in children’s sleep.
- Case studies and sleep studies in children.

Neonatal Resuscitation Program—Full-Day Course
Overview
The Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) is an education program of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Heart Association that teaches the concepts and skills of neonatal resuscitation.
This full-day course is designed to cover all nine lessons in the NRP textbook. Participants may receive credit for the course by completing Lessons 1 through 4 and Lesson 9. The NRP provider course allows ample time for individualized hands-on skills development and practice with an NRP instructor. This is an interactive, hands-on course.
The course goes from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the 4th Floor Pediatric Conference Room at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin-Fox Valley.

Neonatal Resuscitation Program—Half-Day Renewal Course
Overview
The Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) is an education program of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Heart Association that teaches the concepts and skills of neonatal resuscitation.
This half-day renewal course is designed to cover all nine lessons in the NRP textbook. Participants may receive credit for the course by completing Lessons 1 through 4 and Lesson 9. The NRP provider course allows ample time for individualized hands-on skills development and practice with an NRP instructor. This is an interactive, hands-on course. All renewal course participants must bring a copy of their current NRP certification card to class.
The course goes from 8:00 a.m. to noon OR from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the 2nd Floor Ambulatory Classroom at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin-Fox Valley.
